Mouth Guards

Football Match

Our dentist may recommend a night guard to help treat bruxism. Bruxism, or the grinding and clenching of teeth, can damage your teeth and negatively impact your overall health. When not prevented or left untreated, bruxism wears down your tooth enamel, causing sensitivity in your teeth. It also causes fractures, cracks, and chips in your teeth, and can cause significant pain in your neck, jaw, and face, often leading to migraines, headaches, earaches, and jaw injuries. Bruxism has also been linked to anxiety and depression, and can contribute to arthritis in the joints of your jaw.

If you play a contact sport, we can make you a custom mouth guard to protect your teeth. Having a mouth guard professionally done will provide you with a better fit and more protection.
