Education & Professional Expertise
Dr. Jared J. Hill is an Idaho native who was born and raised in Boise. Before beginning his college education at Brigham Young University, he spent two years in Argentina doing missionary service. During that time, he became fluent in Spanish, a skill that has helped him connect with a wider range of patients and families throughout his career.
After marrying his wife in 2001, Dr. Hill began dental school two years later and went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco in 2006. His time in dental school reflected not only academic commitment, but also a strong dedication to service and leadership. While completing his dental education, he volunteered early each morning, Monday through Friday, teaching a seminary class to youth between the ages of 14 and 18.
Dr. Hill’s education and training helped build the strong clinical foundation he brings to patient care today. His background combines technical knowledge, discipline, and a genuine commitment to helping people feel comfortable and informed during treatment. He continues to focus on providing high quality dentistry with an emphasis on precision, communication, and long term oral health.
Professional Experience
Dr. Jared Hill has served as Owner and Dentist at Wood River Dental Care since September 2007. Over the years, he has helped lead the practice with a focus on clinical excellence, patient comfort, and efficient office operations. As the owner of a busy and successful dental practice, his role extends beyond patient care and includes overseeing the growth of the office, supporting his team, and maintaining a high standard of service for the community.
His professional experience reflects both strong leadership and hands on dental expertise. At Wood River Dental Care, Dr. Hill works closely with patients to provide personalized treatment recommendations and help them feel confident in their care. His approach is centered on creating a welcoming experience while delivering treatment that is thoughtful, modern, and effective.
Before joining Wood River Dental Care, Dr. Hill worked as an Associate Dentist at Small Smiles Dental Clinic from July 2006 to September 2007. In that role, he continued to strengthen his clinical skills and gain valuable early career experience in patient care. That foundation helped prepare him for the long term success he has built as a practice owner and dentist in the Wood River community.

Dr. Hill believes great dental care starts with trust, communication, and comfort. He works closely with patients to provide clear guidance and personalized treatment in a welcoming setting. His goal is to make every visit a positive experience while delivering care that supports long term oral health.
Life Outside the Office
Outside the office, Dr. Hill enjoys an active and family centered life. He has a competitive spirit and takes part in weekend athletic activities such as basketball, triathlons, and waterskiing. While he still enjoys pushing himself physically, his wife is quick to remind him that he is not 18 anymore, even if he still feels that way on the court or during a race.
In addition to sports, Dr. Hill enjoys quieter time spent reading, backpacking, and camping with his family. These interests reflect his appreciation for the outdoors, personal growth, and quality time with loved ones. His balance of energy, discipline, and family values carries over into the way he cares for patients and contributes to the welcoming atmosphere at Wood River Dental Care.
